Boring dae in Sze Chuan

The same usual things...
cut cut cut... chop chop chop...
todae @ break time...
went into the staff rest room to sleep...
usually sleep on the sofa...
din bother to take the key to sleep in the room...
but todae... Charlie went in... and i followed suit... :P
1st time in dat room since my ½ year in the hotel...
woah... got double decked beds dat can accomodate 6 ppl...
no pillow... :(
and air-con very cold... lol...
so sleep 1 hr and wake up liao...
had an early dinner and chatted wif many ppl throughout the duration till my work starts...

not many customers todae...
so very boring...
nothing to cut oso... LOL...
cut finish liao... i ask...
need to cut anything else?
he look around desperately to find something for me to do...
but couldn't find any...
coz i finished cutting everything dat could be cut... LOL...
"Err... no... you go over there and ask if they need any help?"
(pointing over to the wok area)
ok... so i went...
also nothing much to do...
coz no business mah... LOL...
so juz helped dish out some dishes... cut come ducks...
walk around... chat around... LOL...
realised 99% of the ppl there speak cantonese... -_-
and i'm the 1%... Zzz...
even the chinese nationals speak cantonese... Zzz...
ok lah...
2 hrs plus of doing nothing...
so sian...
wah.. the China girl there very pretty lehhh...
but too bad i dun fancy China ppl... LOL!!!

1st dae in Sze Chuan...
so reminds me of Palm Beach... LOL...
all the chaotic war the kitchen fights...
there's something different though...
ppl are not shouting around despite of the roaring of the wok range...
why?
coz they use microphones!!! O_o

suddenly feels like K-Box... :P

it's like a holidae camp there...
i do nothing but cut veges thewhole dae... -_-

broccoli... kailan... long beans... curry leaves... carrot... ginger... cai poh... and a spiky thorny plant... dunno wat the name... dunno wat... "jiu qi" or wat... aiyah... watever...
after dinner... i cut finish quite fast...
den nothing 2 do liao...
ask if there's anything else to do?
i was given i carton of kai lan (AGAIN) to pluck and peel... -_-
so i practically cut veges ONLY for the whole of todae...

ya anyway...
msged WL todae informing him i'm on split-shift...
so if he free can ask me out...
no reply... so i went to sleep during break...
sleep for 1 hr... WL call me... ask me if i wanna go play CS wif him and his collegues...

WL got play CS de meh? LOL!!!
ok... so went play wif them for an hr...
b4 returning back to the hotel...
passed by Raffles Hotel...
a service staff told them Jackie Chan sitting at table 1 in the Empire Cafe or wat... i think so...
so we walked pass to go see Jackie... :P
can see a few ppl sitting at other tables looking over to his table...
how can ppl cope wif such publicity? O_o
more publicity = less privacy...

i think i'll enjoy myself more at Kopitiam...
lol...
i can't wait for the 21st Oct to come...

A totally boring and unproductive dae...

tomoro starting work in Sze Chuan Court...

so went out wif a handful of girls to TM...

i feel so gay... going out on a girls outing... LOL!!!
but still ok... not dat bad...
would go out again if i had the chance...

passed by a fish stall...
or watever u call it...
they were selling fish... duh...
and i saw something dat looks soooo... much like my crabby...
and it's smiling at us... :P

Final dae of lasagne production

It has finally come to an end...
no more boring lasagnes...
free at last!!! XD
next week going to Sze Chuan Court...
split-shift... -_-
hey... look on the bright side...
more $$$... :P

went for a tour around the RC complex...
chef brought us around to see the routes to be taken on the actual dae...
and where the lasagnes will be placed...
a bunch of chefs walking around sure attracts lots of eyes... LOL...
45mins of touring ended back in main kitchen...
back to work... :P
todae passed very fast...
coz nothing much to do...
no need to prepare lasagne skins for tomoro...
coz todae we officially completed our 1000 moulds of lasagne + extras... :)
so went home early todae...

yeah... and i forgot...
WM cut his finger... O_o
thumb to be exact...
dat's wat u get when u talk and laugh when cutting hard cheese...
he cut his thumb into two... OMG!!!
well... it's a bit exagerrated...
but... it's still kinda serious...
afterall... he did lose a part of his thumb...
ouch...

2nd last dae of lasagne!!! XD

Todae very sian... like no mood to work...
maybe do the same things for 3 weeks liao...
so very stagnant and boring...
so work very slowly...
meeting up wif bikees later at nite oso mah...
WL finish at 10:30...
so we still gotta wait...
and the worst thing happened todae...
the stupid blast freezer spoil... -_-
greatness...
but in the end it got repaired...
so still ok...
we're not in a hurry anyway... :P

so met up wif Aron, Ben, KM, WL and WM for supper...
while on the way to supper...
saw a dead cat on the road... eew...
so sad lah... and disgusting oso...
dun even wanna describe...
after supper... went pool at Golden Mile...
and the dae juz ends like dat...

World's biggest ironing machine

While pushing the lasagnes to the freezer...
have to pass by 5th storey laundry area...

dat's a real eye opener for me... O_o
imagine the whole level 5 of Swissôtel The Stamford and Raffles The Plaza...
is the laundry area...
where they wash all the dirty linen of the hotel rooms...
restaurant table cloths...
staff uniforms...
guests clothes...
OMG... dat's one helluva big laundry area...
it's like those mega airport luggage sorting system or something like dat...

saw many... many...... many............ washing machines...
walked past a very warm area...
heard a ssssssssss... sound...
turned my head around...
O_o
i saw the biggest ironing machine i've ever seen in my life...
it can actually iron a king sized bedsheet complete wif folding in 10 secs...
and it's so straight... O_o
