Early Bird

Nobody could have guessed wat i did todae...
i woke up at 5:30am...
LOL!!!
1st time seeing 10,000 ppl walking against my direction...
sure caught their view... XD

reached LP very early todae...
9:30am...
lucky Robert open early...
if not i'll have to nap outside Skin liao...
since he's early... i took a quick nap in the restaurant...
so tired lah...

heard news from my cousin dat my uncle passed away todae...
my mum was at the hospital at dat time...
haiz...
life is ever so fragile at times...
appreciate everybody around you...
u'll never noe if it'll be the last time u see them todae...

Sabrina came all the way down from sch to wait 4 me...
though i told her not to...
i noe she's tired...
but she insisted on coming down...
really appreciate her effort... :)

Special menu for boss

Was supposedly a very slack nite tonite...
coz zero reservations...
den suddenly boss called to make a last minute reservation for 8 wif his family...
WL took ½ day off...
so he's not working at nite...
i wasn't around when boss called...
so was asked to call him back by Robert when i returned to the restaurant...
since WL not around...
i'm the biggest in hot kitchen liao... LOL!!!
and dat's not exactly good news... Zzz...
so i called back boss...
he said he wanted a 5 course dinner for 8
diaoz...
so wat am i supposed to do?

juz think of any menu dat we usually do for special events loh...
dun care so much...

plus a couple of walk-ins...
and an unexpected guest...
Ben and Jasline...
lol...
ordered Duck Confit...
Seafood Nage Soup...
and Main courses
Lamb Rack...
and Chillean Seabass...
i threw in a plate of Rigatoni Pasta for them to share...
complimentary... XD

can still manage to pull through...

Steamboat @ Le Papillon

Todae is the 1st dae in my life i experienced two extreme opposite emotions an a single dae...
the best and happiest emotion anybody could ever feel...
and the worst and painful emotion anybody could feel...
all in one dae...
details - i shall not sae...

dinner todae was steamboat...
wanted to take photos...
but i didn't had the mood then...
so i shall juz describe wat we had...

since LP closing soon...
so many left over things in the freezer...
y not take them all out for dinner?
lol...
steamboat stock = real chicken stock...
not chicken cubes or MSG or watever form of artificial flavouring...
wahahaha... sure tastes different...
with ingredients...
pork loin carppaccio
raw salmon
sliced red grouper and snapper
crab meat
and lettuce
eat until too full...

later in the evening... ex LP cooks came to visit WL...
den they also joined in the steamboat 2nd round...
after dat... we do the orders...
WL went to the bar and chatted wif them...
after which...
we went home...
also my 1st time taking the same train back to Yishun wif Ah Hao...
after so many weeks of moving to Yishun
lol...

The meeting with Anderson...

Had a meeting todae wif boss...
there are buyers interested in buying the restaurant...
wat's left is actually the signature of both the buyer and our bosses...
if all goes through well...
i'd be jobless at the end of the mth... LOL!!!
dat's cool... XD
but if not... boss might still carry on till maybe October or so...
we'll see abt dat... :P

plans if the restaurant should close down?
i still dunno yet...
maybe go back to Swissôtel?
well... thinking in progress...

anyway... Sabrina's starting school next week...
so todae's her last dae in LP...
so wat's my farewell gift for her?

Aron's blunder

Aron was supposed to come work todae...
i reached the restaurant liao...
eh?
how come didn't see him...
only till close to 11pm den WL decided to call him...
it's only then we realised dat there was a major miscommunication...
LOL!!!
WL told him this Thursdae start...
Aron heard next Thursdae den start...
oh well... not a big problem...
haha...
see him next week ba...

LP is closing down soon... (i think)
having meeting wif boss tomoro...

Donut Factory

Went City Hall todae...
can't decide on wat to eat...
so decided on donuts... -_-
not an avid fan of the once ever popular craze...
but... since todae not many ppl queue...
i shall buy some...
and some = 2 dozens... Zzz...

b4 buying the donuts...
i need to withdraw some cash...
so off i went to the ATM machine...
noticed something queer...
there are 2 ATMs... yet only one queue...
all queued on the right side...
but nobody using the left one...
so i juz went and used it anyway...
press a few buttons here... press a few there...
and out came a $50 note...
i thought... the machine is working fine...
so how come nobody used it... Zzz...
anyway... after i took the money...
those behind came over to use the left machine...
then this guy was struggling at the left ATM for quite a while b4 he suddenly switched to the right ATM...
den i looked at the screen...
"This ATM is temporary unavailable"
diaoz... O_o
now dat explains the long queue on the right... and nobody using the left ATM...
can't blame it...
the ATM love me... LOL!!!
and the funny thing is...
after a while...
both ATMs are down...
hahaha...
so sad... now nobody can withdraw any money...

anyway... here are the donuts...
eat until almost wanna vomit...

Well... sent an April fool's SMS to quite a few of my frens todae...
and within a minute after sending...
most of them replied...
i instantly got 10+ SMSes back... lol...
one of the greatest April fool's joke i've seen thus far...
:P

to celebrate pay dae... lol...

nothing much happened todae...
as usual...
