Watched Narnia 2 todae...
wif Kars... Naq and Sabrina...
quite nice...
though i prefer the 1st movie more...
has more originality...

Broiler Station

Todae is my official dae of standing at the broiler... alone...
the usual broiler was on off todae...
so i took his place...
wooo...
though business quite good todae...
i managed to pull through...
got a bit of forgetting this and dat...
but still... no cock ups...
so i'm happy...

a brand new concept from LP...
LP i can stand at the hot station wif no problems...
but here... i need some time getting used to...

had a tough time trying to recall details and wat exactly happened...

yes... went to Fish and Co. for dinner todae...
to visit Naq while she's working... LOL...
had Seafood Platter...
compared to Manhattan's Fish Market's Seafood Platter...
this has more variety...
and the fried calamari is nice...
though i prefer MFM's flaming prawns and rice more...
both has it's strengths and weaknesses...
and ya... not to mention...
F&C's after meal mints are better dan MFM's mentos...

Boring dae at work

Rushed to work todae at 3pm only to find out dat todae low reservations...
so everybody came in at 4pm - 6pm... Zzz...
coz they dun have my HP no...
so i couldn't be informed... -_-
make me rush for nothing...
rarrr!!!

from 2pax reservation increase to 8 pax...
boring night...
nothing to do...
all mise-en-place done...
so juz sit around and chat...

when during service...
i stood at the "garnish" section...
AKA entrémettier...
watever orders i cook watever vege or garnish which is needed...
need time to get used too... :P

Saw a rather cool device todae...
they actually erected an electronic device dat tells u of the available parking spaces of the parking lots...
it's not only showing the lots available for only the building...
but for the entire area!!! O_o

Final dae of orientation...
talk talk... den went for tour in the Equinox Complex...
from Introbar to New Asia Bar to City Space to Equinox Restaurant and Jaan...
nice...
was scheduled to go for a tour on the helipad...
BUT......
it's raining!!! :(
so sad... so cannot go...

we can only go up to the helipad if the rain stops...

FINALLY!!! the rain stopped...
so we went up to the helipad...
it's not dat i've never been up there b4...
but the feeling is juz exhilarating...
this is the 2nd time i've been up on the helipad...

What Happens in Vegas

Official start of work todae...
1st 3 daes is orientation for new birds...
compulsory for all new employees though i don't really need it... XD
i was juz looking forward to going up to the helipad... that's all...
:P

the talks bored me...
telling us on the vision and values of the hotel...
then tea break...
then bring us for a hotel tour...
show us where the different outlets are...
show us the hotel rooms... suites...
show us the swiming pool... spa...
everything... except for the Equinox Complex...

went to one of the Presidential Suites in Fairmont Singapore...
$4,600 per night if i remember correctly...
it's a helluva BIG for two persons...
it's like 3 deluxe rooms combined into one...
and wat did i like most abt the room?
THE TOILET!!!
OMG!!! the toilet itself is bigger dan my room!!! O_o
wif white tiles... glass panels... and a bathtub in th middle of the toilet...
it also have a shower room... and a mini sauna!!! *gasp*
i is so loving the toilet...

after the tour...
lunch... and talks again... Zzz...
full stomach + boring talks = not a very good combination...
i almost fell asleep... -_-
and then... they finally finished...
time's 5:30pm...

rushed out of the hotel...
caught a movie...
What Happens in Vegas...
a bit funny and crappy at the same time...
guy and girl met overnite...
got drunk... got married...
next dae wanted to pretend nothing happened...
won $3 million
don't wanna split...
got officially married...
trying to get hold of the full amount...
trying all means to make the other party file for divorce...
sparks fly...
true love sets in...
girl dun wan the money...
guy not happy...
back together again...
happily ever after...

Went East Coast Park todae...
1st time cycling on a couple bike...
hahaha...
so fun...
never tried b4... though i've always wanted to ride on it so much...
cycle for a couple of hours...
backside pain pain... LOL!!!

we saw Fang Yi working in Vista Bistro todae...
at the Big Splash area...

It's official...

Went to Swissôtel for final interview at 10am todae...
or should i sae... a stupid "personality" test...
asking u questions like...
wat u would do if u see an unhappy guest...
and how confident r u...
all those crap questions...
to find out if u are suitable for the job...
well... apprently... i passed... LOL!!!
so proceeded to test my uniform and shoes...
go for medical checkup...
take thyphoid jab...
run here and there... finally finished everything at abt 3pm+

waste so much time...

was supposedly intervied for Equinox...
but ended up going to Jaan...
oh well...
so be it...
fine dining is fine for me... LOL!!!

Had dinner in Carousel todae @ Royal Plaza on Scotts Road...
food there was ok...
in terms of spread...
i think The Line is better...
but it's still nice though... :)
they have very unique table setup...

Kallang Entertainment Center

Ok... saw the advertisement on MRTs a while back...
wanted to go see how Kallang Entertainment Center has evolved from wat was previously known as Kallang Leisure Park...
so went down todae...
hoping to see a grand entertainment complex wif lots of fun and everything...

reached there... haiz... so sian...
was so disappointed...
after opening for so long...
so many shops not open yet...
nobody go there too...
VERY inaccessable too...
walked a while...
got bored... so left for Suntec...

and ya... we had dinner wif Sabrina's parents todae... :)
at Thai Express...
have blogged abt Thai Express food b4...
so dun think i'll be repeating it... XD

Interview @ Swissôtel The Stamford

It's funny how after one big round... i end up working back at the hotel...
it sure is different wif connections...
go back in... chef comes interview...
no need any résumés... no need any certs or papers...
juz go there... talk some crap...
and you're hired...
still unknown when will my official working dae will be though...
have to wait till HR calls...
so in the meantime...
i'll juz enjoy my holidae... :P

went 4 an interview at 10am todae...
finished at abt 11am...
a lot of ppl interviewing...
coz hotel open for walk-in interviews...
waited 3 hrs for Alvin to come for his interview...

played "Advance Wars : Days of Ruin" while i waited...
i am such an AW fan...
when he arrived...

i had the laugh of my life...
he actually got short hair!!! O_o
LOL!!!
looked quite funny in dat hairdo...

anyway...
had lunch wif him...
and later brought him for an interview...
chef ain't free to interview him...
so he gotta come again for a 2nd interview...
most probably tomoro...

Yep... went watching movie b4 dinner todae...
Harold and Kumar 2...
i personally preferred the 1st movie though...
more originality and humourous...
Escape from Guantanamo Bay is nice though...
i love both of them guys...
they are simply jokers...

didn't notice the restrictions b4 buying the tickets...
only when i saw something (ahem)
b4 i realised this movie had restrictions...
if it's M(18)... it's cool...
if it's R(21)... hmmm...
someone went in illegally... XD
but still... nobody stopped us or checked our age...
so all's well... :)
highly resommended to go watch...

newly built multi-storey carpark cum shopping centre - E!HUB
new Cathay cinema in the building...

we had dinner @ Fresh Bulgoggi... a Korean steamboat...
food was so so though... not dat fantastic...
oh well... i'm not really a fan of steamboats... XD
had frozen durian bdae cake... -_-

Com finally repaired!!!

Finally... went down to Sim Lim to repair my stupid com...
power box gone... fan gone...
need to change new one...

oh well... at least it's working fine now... :)
delayed posts due to inoperable PC...

carried the heavy bulky CPU all the way to the MRT and to Sim Lim...

went Bugis Junction for lunch...
dined in Hip Diner by Billy Bombers...
ordered Lamb Shank...
1st bite was nice...
gravy + the part wif the fats was real nice...
but as i ate more...
i realised dat it wasn't really dat nice...
dun get me wrong...
the gravy is nice...
but it's juz dat...
it isn't braised till it's soft...
so the meat was kinda tough for a stew...
